Rates for private study:

  • Individual: 350dh/hour
  • Semi-private instruction (2 students): 225dh/hour per student
  • Small group (3 or more students): 175dh/hour per student

Private study is defined as:

  • 1 or 2 students enrolled in a set course during a regularly scheduled term at ALIF, or
  • 1, 2, or 3+ students studying off-cycle or in a customized course. Customization may incur additional fees.

  • NOTE: A minimum of 10 hours is required to book private study.

Advanced students or researchers may request to read specific texts with a private teacher. Private courses are available throughout the year but depend on teacher availability, so it is important for students to submit requests for private study as early as possible.

In addition to tuition:

  • Tuition does not include the cost of course materials (approximately 1,600dh for Al-Kitaab), a 300dh refundable library book borrowing deposit, housing fees, or any living expenses.
  • Fees are to be paid within the first three days of the term.
  • To be eligible for tiered-pricing discounts, all fees for the study period must be paid for in advance. Otherwise regular pricing applies. Fees may be paid by online payment, credit card (3% fee), cash, or bank wire transfer (200dh for less than 20,000dh, or 1% fee for 20,000dh or more added). We cannot accept personal checks.
  • All tuition and other fees must be paid in full before a final transcript can be issued.
Financial aid:

  • ALIF does not offer any direct financial aid. U.S. federal government and other scholarship funds, including but not limited to FLAS, SSRC and NSEP grants, can be applied to the cost of study at ALIF. For Fulbright, FLAS, SSRC and NSEP funds, students must apply through the university at which they are matriculated. For further information on these and other funding options, please consult your university department or financial aid office. For funds to be available before study at ALIF, students should commence the paperwork for funding at least 6 months before the date of anticipated enrollment.
